The best is you deselect the mapedit before you start the torrent.

How can this be a Garmin Topo map?
It only contains OZI maps (.OZF2 and .map),
(and a virus/worm in mapedit1-0-32-0.zip)
Sounds to me more like a Ozi Explorer map of which you can load a tiny piece (100 tiles or 1000x1000pix) in your Garmin map as Custom Map after you convert it to google .KMZ file.
But that is not easy.
It only contains OZI maps (.OZF2 and .map),
